Hiring The YMCA

The YMCA is a large hall is perfect for community groups, parties, club meetings. A kitchen and small outdoor space is also available.

Capacity : The YMCA can accommodate a maximum of 54

Hall Size : 8.66m x 6.16M

Facilities available : Hall with kitchen area suitable for food preparation, wi-fi, enclosed outside garden area to rear of building, baby changing, accessible facilities, tables and chairs. Suitable for community group meetings / activities, social events.

Parking : parking is limited and the Town Council encourages all hirers and visitors not to bring cars to the hall if possible or to encourage car sharing. Drivers to the YMCA are asked to park responsibly.

If you click on the option for ‘Yate’, there are several South Gloucestershire Council owned ‘Public Car Parks’ within easy walking distance to the venue.

Yate Train Station is within walking distance and on the bus route.

Key Holder Arrangements

The YMCA is an unmanned hall and you will need to collect a key from the Town Council Offices at Poole Court for your booking. A CASH returnable keyholder/damage deposit is required at the time of collecting the key. A £50 deposit is charged for all bookings except social events and birthday parties for 16’s plus, where the deposit is £100 or £200 where permission for alcohol has been given.

Removal of Rubbish

Please note, you must take all your rubbish with you at the end of your period of hire. Do not use any external bins / skips to dispose of your rubbish as they belong to the Yate Community Association building next door.

3rd Party Equipment

If you are having 3rd party equipment eg. soft play, disco, the hirer must check and confirm with the 3rd party provider of the equipment that they will be in attendance and supervising the use of their equipment for the duration of the period of hire.

For insurance purposes, the equipment must not be dropped off by the 3rd party provider and manned by the hirer themselves.

Please provide the Town Council with confirmation that the 3rd party will be in attendance for the duration of the booking, together with a copy of their Public Liability Insurance and current PAT or PIPA testing certificate (as applicable) for the equipment being used at the point of returning your signed booking form.

Please note, the garden can also be booked with the Parish Hall or on its own. Therefore bookings are on a first come, first served basis.
