Casual Venue Assistant –
The Armadillo Youth Cafe and Venue

Armadillo Cafe, Yate

Looking to develop your career in hospitality, or in a role working with young people? We may have the casual role for you!

Casual hours weekday and weekends
£12.45 per hour
(starting salary £24,027 per annum FTE – Hay Grade 13 SCP 3)

Experience working with young people or in a hospitality or retail setting preferable but not a necessity, as full training will be provided.

Some posts (not all!) require applicants to be aged 18+ due to Yate Town Council’s lone working and insurance policies.

Enhanced DBS check is required.

The Pop Inn Cafe

The Pop Inn Cafe is a community cafe designed for users over 50. The cafe has had great success over the years and has seen many people drawn in by the light interior, the peaceful atmosphere and the friendly volunteer staff.

Memory Cafe

Based at the Pop Inn Cafe, the Memory Cafe takes place on the first Friday of every month (1.30pm – 3pm). You’ll make a big difference to those with dementia and their carers by lending a listening ear, making a few brews or join in with activities.

Yate Heritage Centre is a fully accredited museum which, as part of Yate Town Council, serves all our local community. Yate Heritage Centre is a dynamic facility devoted to serving the local area. To sustain progress and remain effective, volunteers are always needed to take part in history projects and help staff the building.
