We are growing our Community Projects Team! Are you passionate about community? Our team needs a practical person with a flare for organisation and administration, who will roll up their sleeves to help out!
You should be a quick learner who:
works well with people and understands the importance of community work;
likes a mix of office work and being on your feet in our community;
can use creativity and initiative to solve problems and promote our work.

A varied role working in our local community, ensuring Yate Town Council’s parks, play areas, community venues, open spaces and sports/recreation areas are maintained and ready for use.
The Pop Inn is a community café designed for users over 50. The café has had great success over the years and has seen many people drawn in by the light interior, the peaceful atmosphere and the friendly volunteer staff.
We currently have an opportunity to volunteer fortnightly at the Pop Inn Café on Fridays from 10:45am – 1:45pm

Volunteering at The Memory Café
Yate Town Council were delighted to launch our first Memory café in 2023, we we’re looking for volunteers just like you!
If you can spare a little time the first Friday of every month (1.30-3pm) at the Pop Inn Café, to lend a listening ear, make a few brews or join in with activities – you’ll make a big difference to those with dementia and their carers. Anyone can apply, no experience is needed and all training is provided.

Volunteering at Yate Heritage Centre
Yate Heritage Centre is a fully accredited museum which, as part of Yate Town Council, serves all out local communities. Yate Heritage Centre is a dynamic facility devoted to serving the local area. To sustain progress and remain effective, volunteers are always needed to take part in history projects and to help staff the building.
