Yate Ageing Better Festival 2025!

From live music to cream teas. Yate Ageing Better Festival 2025 had it all, and we hope you had a blast!

The sunshine warmly welcomed over 50 stallholders and a lively crowd of visitors on Wednesday 16th July. Joyous singing from local choirs and musicians filled the air while visitors enjoyed free performances, activities, picked up lots of goodies and loved alfresco dining for £3.50 at the Pop Inn Café!

This annual free event is organised by Yate Town Council to highlight vibrant community opportunities that help us all live and age well.

Strolling from stall-to-stall, visitors had an abundance of friendly conversations and took away information, advice and guidance on topics such as health and wellbeing, volunteering, social clubs, community activities, arts and crafts, mobility, sustainable travel, personal safety and a host of other helpful solutions for living well at any age.

Mayor of Yate, Councillor Aziz Chowdhry, who officially opened the event said:

“It was great to see Yate Ageing Better return for its fifth year and its biggest one yet. The festival is always a highlight in the community calendar, and I would like to say a huge thank you to our partners in organising this event, and to all the stallholders, volunteers, performers and visitors, for making it a fantastic day!”

Yate Town Council gives special thanks to their event partners Yate Shopping Centre, Yate Active Lifestyle Centre, and the wonderful volunteers at the Pop Inn Café, as this event would not have been possible without their support and generosity.
