At the Extraordinary Full Council meeting of Yate Town of 28th July 2026, it was RESOLVED to seek the approval of the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government to apply for borrowing approval for a loan of £450,000 over a borrowing term of 25 years, for the purposes of the Tudor Cottage acquisition and refurbishment project, with the annual loan repayments coming to around £35,612.52 (current annual loan repayment figures as per Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government criteria for the Council’s Resolution to Borrow). It is not intended to increase the council tax precept for the purpose of the loan repayments.
