Yate Town Council is pleased to celebrate the completion of a vibrant new mural at Kingsgate Park, delivered in partnership with South Gloucestershire Council and Learning Partnership West.
The mural, located within the parkβs basketball court, was created as part of a youth engagement initiative aimed at working with young people, particularly those at risk of involvement in anti-social behaviour. The project provided an opportunity for participants to contribute to the design and creation of a lasting piece of public art, supported by a professional artist and local youth providers.
This initiative builds on similar successful projects across the area and reflects a shared commitment to creating safer, more inclusive community spaces. By involving young people directly, the project not only enhances the visual appeal of Kingsgate Park but also fosters a sense of ownership and pride in the local area.
Yate Town Council would like to thank South Gloucestershire Council and Learning Partnership West for their collaboration and support in delivering this project, as well as the young people whose creativity and effort have made the mural such a success.
