Memory Café

The Yate Ageing Better, Health and Wellbeing “Memory Café” returned on 5th January, with arts and crafts, animal bingo and games such as “memory ball” to celebrate the New Year. Customers were also joined by special guest Luke, from the Avon Fire & Rescue Service, who gave advice and support to customers about home safety improvements and fire safety visits.

The Memory Café is a free of charge social activity for people with dementia and their carers, personal assistants and friends.  We are open every first and third Friday of the month from 1:30pm – 3pm at the Pop Inn Café in Yate Shopping Centre – no booking is required.  We invite you to drop in and meet the team! Join us at our next Memory Café on Friday 19th January 2024.

Do you have a craft, an art, special skill or mastermind subject? Are you a group with a good cause? We need YOU, to support our café sessions with exciting and interesting activities! If you have a cause or a talent that could assist or bring joy to our customers, our team would love to hear from you!
