The Faces of Finance at Yate Town Council

Paul Carroll, former bank manager at the Yate branch of HSBC, has started in post as Yate Town Council’s Finance Manager and Responsible Finance Officer.

Paul is taking over from former Deputy Town Clerk and outgoing Responsible Finance Officer, Steph Davies, after 30 years service to Yate Town Council.  Steph said “Working for Yate Town Council has been a pleasure.  I have really enjoyed working for Yate Town Council, with Members and staff, past and present, over the years.   Being involved as part of the team delivering various community projects has been very rewarding.   Paul, I’m sure, will fit into his new role admirably and I hope he enjoys his new place in the community as much as I have, and would like to wish him all the very best for the future.”

Paul joins after a career of 16 years in the banking industry and is excited to be joining the team.  Paul said “I am very much looking forward to starting my role as Finance Manager and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue working in, and supporting the local community. Furthermore, being a local resident myself with a young family, I am passionate about delivering the Town Council’s aim of improving the quality of life for the residents of Yate. I would also like to thank Steph for her many years of service.”

Steph will leave the Town Council in the summer.

This week also saw Jeanette Cryer join the Town Council team as Service Support Assistant. A warm welcome to Jeanette and and we wish you the best of luck in your new position.
