Yate Heritage Centre – Kids Zone Facebook Page

Here at Yate Heritage Centre, we want to do our part to support children and young people, parents, carers and teachers through the periods of school closures by bringing you high-quality educational materials to use at home or in the classroom.

We will focus on history but will sometimes include other bits and bobs that we hope might be useful.

Please note, we will do our very best to make sure that all materials shared are suitable for children, but when using the internet, it is really important that parents, carers and teachers check material out first to make sure it is appropriate.

A note on home-schooling: at this time, we know that lots of parents and carers are feeling overwhelmed with the prospect of teaching in such altered circumstances. Many will also be balancing working from home, caring for other children and many other responsibilities. The materials we share are designed to support you, not overwhelm you. Nobody expects parents to become star teachers overnight. Any education work you do with your children is something to be proud of.
