On the 11th June 2024, the Pop Inn Café hosted their ‘Pay What You Can Lunch’ event, for local people aged over 50. Visitors enjoyed indulging in a lovely buffet lunch of sandwiches, pies, pastries and puddings, savoury nibbles and sweet treats – whilst enjoying the company of others, and meeting new people!
Since launching, over 150 attendees have thoroughly enjoyed this affordable community food event, where visitors make a donation of whatever they can afford, and all donations received go towards funding future lunches.
This event is hosted by Yate Town Council and the Pop Inn Café Management Committee, with support from South Gloucestershire Council’s Member Awarded Funding, and Morrisons supermarket who generously donate food for the buffet.
