Yesterday, Thursday 8th May 2025, Yate Town Council marked the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe, known as VE Day. 
We would like to say a massive thank you to our fabulous performers at our VE Day beacon lighting event at Tyler’s Field. 1st Yate Boys Brigade The D-Day Dollies Bristol Military Wives Choir and the Wiltshire Piper. A big thank you also to the 2509 Squadron (Chipping Sodbury) Air Cadets and the local scouting groups for helping us create the ‘VE80’!
