New Link Path Connects Play Areas at Brinsham Park

Yate Town Council is pleased to announce the completion of a new link path connecting two popular local play areas – the Brinsham Park Play Area and the Ladden Garden Village Play Trail. This new connection will provide easier, safer, and more enjoyable access for local families and children.

The project was made possible thanks to the generous support of Heidelberg Materials, who kindly donated 30 tonnes of stone dust to help create the pathway. The Council is very grateful for this valuable contribution to the local community.

Cllr Alan Monaghan, Cllr Chris Willmore, Cllr Karl Tomasin, and Cllr Sandra Emms were present to mark the completion of the path, alongside George Benstead, representing Heidelberg Materials.

This new link is a great example of partnership working to benefit the community. It’s a simple improvement that makes a big difference for local families – helping them walk or cycle between two great play spaces.

Cllr John Ford commented: “Yate Town Council thanks Heidelberg for once again supporting a community initiative with the generous donation of 30 tonnes of aggregate to complete the final link of a play trail and path from the Ladden Garden play area to Brimsham Park.

Allowing easy access to the woods, it has immediately become a favourite feature for children and families.”

Yate Town Council extends sincere thanks to Heidelberg for their generous donation and to everyone involved in making this project a success.
