Further to the public information evening held in May, final contract negotiations are now taking place for the building of a new home for the boxing club onsite at YOSC.

In early summer, Avon Wildlife Trust carried out a site survey and MAF funding was obtained to carryout ecological improvements.

At the end of July, an Extraordinary Full Council meeting was held where the Town Council formally committed to fund the boxing club building project.

External funding applications are now being pursued and the Town Council is continuing to work closely on the development of this project with Yate Amateur Boxing Club and YOSC Ltd.
